This newsletter is for sponsors of children only and discusses practical ways for you to be more involved in your child’s life.
Thank you for all the wonderful letters and gifts the sponsored children have received over the Christmas period. I think one of the things that gives me most joy is reading the lovely letters that the children send to you all, as well as seeing all the photos of the children with their gifts. The joy a child has at being given some new clothes, a box of biscuits, a doll or other gift inspires me to persevere with the work that Metro Kids Africa (MKA) does.
I really want to thank you for being such fantastic sponsors. We have a huge percentage of sponsors who not only give the monthly donation, but give extra for their child to receive birthday, Christmas, school or food gifts. What a difference you are making in your child’s life.
Thank you to many of you who have given for school uniform and stationery. It is not too late if you are able to give but have not done so yet. I hear stories each year of the relief a child has when they are given a new schoolbag and don’t have to use a plastic carrier bag for their schoolbooks. The children dread going to school with a plastic bag as sadly other children mock and make fun of them.
